Singer Wears 'Make America Great Again' Dress To The Grammys

The 25-year-old artist who describes herself as a singer, vegan and bodybuilder on Instagram, used her red carpet appearance on Sunday to make a political statement.

Prior to the start of Grammys 2017, Villa entered the red carpet wearing an all-white voluminous cape and carrying a heart-shaped clutch early in the evening.

Villa's look read "MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN" down the bodice and featured red stripes and white stars.

It is interesting to point out, however, that while Soriano may have in fact be an all-out Donald Trump supporter, Villa may not actually be as avid as people might think she is.

Villa first showed up at the event in a white caped gown that hid her dress underneath, The Daily Mail reports. The set - which sells for only $4.95 in the iTunes Store - could debut in the top 40 of next week's Billboard 200 albums chart (dated March 4, reflecting the data tracking week ending February 16), marking Villa's first chart entry on any Billboard chart. No more being hidden, no more shame for standing on what you believe in. As had happened prior to Donald Trump's inauguration as United States president, few musicians seemed to be on Trump's side. Villa was even included in the worst dressed at the Grammy Awards. "Agree to disagree", she also wrote on Instagram. She did however re-tweet a handful of posts praising her and referring to her as a Trump supporter after the Grammys.

It should also be noted that the designer behind the Trump gown worn by Villa is actually an immigrant from the Philippines. I'm from the Philippine islands, I am a proud American. "Your support and love have changed the nation's dialogue from one of hate to that of love and acceptance". "She is one of the people on this planet that really promotes love".

"Thanks you I hope you enjoy tonight's @grammyawards2017 and keep in mind to forget your problems and focus on your future!"

Soriano said the dress was created for the sole objective of bringing about unity.
