Ghost Recon Wildlands' open beta runs from February 23-27

The open beta features all of the same content found in the previously held closed beta and more, including an additional province to explore called Montuyoc.

Following Ubisoft's massive betas for The Division, Steep and For Honor, it's now Ghost Recon Wildlands' turn.

Ubisoft will host an open beta for Ghost Recon: Wildlands from February 23 to 27, the company announced.

You'll get an exclusive mission to play through, "Unidad Conspiracy", where you spark a war between drug gangs.

The open beta session will last 4 days, officially from 2/23 to 2/27, and will give PS4, Xbox One and PC players a chance to try out the online, open world shooter experience with the rest of the world.

In order to unlock this mission, you have to play the fully released game from the same UPlay account that you used when you played the open beta. Players can of course confront Montuyoc right away... at their own risk.

Just like in the full game, players will also be able to experience the title's four-player co-op, allowing them to play with three friends on the same platform, as well as its traditional single player mode.

Ubisoft has confirmed that the Ghost Recon: Wildlands Open Beta will be going live next week, ahead of the full game's launch in March. The latter area will pose a much greater challenge to would-be Wildlands players, as this is home to Santa Blanca's elite training centres.
