Kate Upton has landed the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue cover three times. The issue is such a massive deal that a block of Jimmy Kimmel's late night show was reserved to make the announcement of this year's cover model. I've been on so many adventures with everyone at Sports Illustrated, and it was being back together and having that energy that I loved.

Who can forget the 24-year-old beauty's reaction when she found out her fiance, Detroit Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander, didn't win the Cy Young Award?

She posed with one arm behind her head and the other clasped across her bare chest, in front of a sparkling ocean and lush mountains.

SI swimsuit editor, MJ Day said originally they didn't plan for three covers, but that Upton gave them so much material it was hard to narrow down and select just one shot.

Upton is featured on three different covers for the annual, bikini-themed issue. and she's not even wearing a top for two of them!

In the end, it turned out that producers were so impressed with Upton's Sports Illustrated 2017 work that they gave her three covers rather than the expected single.

It's Upton's third time as the magazine's cover model.

In an Instagram post, the legendary model thanked the magazine for "sending a powerful message that good things come in packages of every size and we do not come with an expiration date!"

In addition to Upton, Christie Brinkley, 63, appears with her daughters. It feels insulting, implying that I am somehow being taken advantage of, that I am not empowered in my own decisions.
