Oscars: Justin Timberlake, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Sting, John Legend to Perform

The two hit songs from the widely acclaimed movie "La La Land" will be performed at the Oscars on February 26by John Legend, while Lin-Manuel Miranda, Justin Timberlake and Sting will also take the stage, the Academy Awards announced Friday.

26 on ABC, hosted by Jimmy Kimmel.

"We're thrilled to welcome these world-class artists to the Oscars", show producers Michael De Luca and Jennifer Todd say in a statement. The one shake-up may be Best Song, where Hamilton creator Lin-Manuel Miranda has a strong standing. This marks Miranda's debut on the Oscars stage. He'll be joined onstage by Auli'i Cravalho, the actress who voiced the title character.

Justin will perform his ridiculously catchy summer smash Can't Stop The Feeling, which was the soundtrack to DreamWorks' Trolls, while Sting will sing The Empty Chair from Jim: The James Foley Story, which he co-wrote with three-time Oscar nominee J. Ralph. A 2014 Kennedy Center Honoree, Sting has sold over 100 million records. He shares music and lyric credits with Max Martin and Karl Johan Schuster. His acting credits include the Oscar-winning film The Social Network (2010) and Oscar-nominated Inside Llewyn Davis (2013). He is stepping in as a high-powered pinch hitter for Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling, who sang "City of Stars" and "Audition (The Fools Who Dream)" in La La Land.

With both actors nominated for Academy Awards and neither of them a professional singer, it's no surprise that they will not add singing to their slate on Oscars night.
