Planet Earth II is coming in November, here's the incredible first trailer

Sir Dave's distinguishable voice can be heard saying: 'Earth illuminated - Planet Earth two, coming to BBC One soon, ' as a montage of wildlife shows the delights to be expected in the new show. Now, it's back, and Attenborough is back, for Planet Earth II.

IN 2006, THE BBC's Planet Earth, narrated by Sir David Attenborough, was the most expensive nature documentary series ever commissioned by the British broadcaster.

Each episode will deal with animals living in different environments - from mountains, to islands to jungles.

Filmed over four years ago, the second round of episodes takes advantage of upgrades in technology, using ultra-HD footage to take viewers through 64 countries to witness some of nature's most miraculous sights.

If 2016 feels like the end of the world-what with mass shootings, the death of David Bowie, and the presidential election-this "Planet Earth II" trailer might give you a little hope. And, while you're at it, rejoice, because a decade after the series first aired, there's a sequel!

Let's be honest for a minute, BBC's Planet Earth captivated us all.

"Ten years on from Planet Earth, it feels like the ideal moment to bring our audience a series of such ambition which will change the way we see the natural world".
