Mary J. Blige files for divorce from husband of 13 years

2015 Tribeca Film Festival After Party For Mary J. Blige The London Sessions Sponsored By American Express At The Empire Hotel Rooftop

Blige just pulled the plug on her marriage to her husband/manager... filing for divorce to end her 12 year marriage, TMZ has learned.

The Grammy-winning singer, who filed for divorce from her husband Kendu Isaacs, has deleted all the photos on her Instagram post.

Mary J. married Kendu in a lavish ceremony at her Bergen County, New Jersey home. Blige apparently hasn't yet locked down a date for the official separation, but she did cite "irreconcilable differences" as the reason for divorce.

The singer is asking a court to deny Isaacs spousal support. "The document does not say if there is a prenup", the site mentions. The pair had a special relationship with Isaacs being Blige's husband, but also working for the star as her manager. What we do know is that Blige had previously stated that in order to make their marriage work they refrained from having friends of the opposite sex. "And you have to respect each other's space".

Blige (L) and Kendu Isaacs attend the 24th Annual Elton John AIDS Foundation's Oscar Viewing Party at The City of West Hollywood Park on February 28, 2016 in West Hollywood, California. "You're handsome, Mary.' He was the first man to ever tell me that", she revealed in a 2007 interview with Parade. "There's none of that, 'Oh, that's my female friend".
